I spent a few days on Fuerteventura, crossing the channel from Lanzarote aboard a ferry and staying in Corralejo, our base town. Besides the famous beaches and sand dunes, the central part of Fuerteventura is really worth a visit! You will stroll through well preserved villages like Betancuria, 600 years old, surrounded by scenic mountains. And don’t miss the famous windmills which have been restored for most of them (see here).
Unfortunately I did not have the occasion to visit the southern tip of the island.Show Map
