Northern Lights in Lofoten Islands
Shots of northern lights taken during two successive nights with intense activity and fair weather. A fantastic first experience for me! I really enjoyed spending several hours close to my tripod, chatting with other fellow photographers, while we were waiting for the green and purple lights to dance in the sky.
On April 1st, we started the chase around 1.30am and stopped 2 hours later with the first lights of dawn. The following night, since the evening was fair, we drove to the beach immediately after dinner. There was no activity around our first spot so we moved a bit further. We were welcomed by moonlight and some lights at the second beach, just before 11pm.
